Have you heard of KBIS? The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show is North America’s largest trade show of kitchen and bath design. KBIS and the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) showcase the latest trends, technologies, and industry products from hundreds of exhibitors. Inspiration is everywhere!  

The global residential design and construction community met in person in Orlando the first week of February. It was a fantastic opportunity to see what is out there so that I can then offer more knowledge and opportunities to my clients! Learning about what the latest trends and innovations have to offer makes me an ace in your pocket! 

At the KBIS in Orlando, I really enjoyed all the "eye candy" (appliances, drains, and tile). It was also a lot of fun to meet with great designers from all over the country! I cannot wait to share some of my findings of innovative products, finishes, and trending colors with you. Here are my 3 favorites… 

1. Pretty and Functional

I loved seeing products that not only will make your home beautiful but also add function.

Infinity Drains specializes in bathroom and shower drainage. Their products look great, are super functional, and address waterproofing, maintenance, and more. They are also sizable and perfect for barrier-free bathrooms. 

Emtek makes beautifully handcrafted door and cabinet hardware that can be personalized and curated to your style (which you know is what I am all about!).

We cannot forget the wine! The wine towers and under-the-counter refrigerators by Signature Kitchen Suites leave nothing to be desired. With triple-paned doors and independent temperature settings, they protect your wine from vibration and variations in humidity and light. I think I will have to get one.

2. Green with Envy or Feeling Blue?

Everywhere I turned, there were colorful appliances, cabinetry, tile, you name it! There was definitely a pattern of soothing greens and cool blues. 

Cafe offers customizable kitchen appliances, which will allow us to add your personality, and with their addition of smart technology, we can also add the functionality you need.

And if you are not into having your appliances "disappear," then let's make a statement with 

SMEG appliances. This Italian manufacturer has offered high-quality large and small appliances without sacrificing personality and style for over 70 years. I had a blast looking at all the color options, as well as admiring their design and function. 

3. Matte Black, Brass & Copper, Oh My!

When it comes to colors and materials, matte black is still all the rage. From toilets (check out Trone) to appliances and hardware, matte black is everywhere!

If you like to color outside the lines, there are many attractive options. I personally love copper and brass, which I saw in many vendor displays at KBIS. The finishing options are endless, from the kitchen sink and hardware to tile and plumbing. So let's take a walk into the "wild side" and choose something that will inspire the neighbors. 

Well, that is just the tip of the iceberg. I cannot wait to start sharing these and other finds with you. Improving the way you live and allowing you to do so in style and comfort while showcasing your personality and taste is what I want to help you achieve.
