I cannot believe that it has been over 4 years since I turned my love for home, family, and beauty into a full-time career. I am so happy about what I have been able to achieve, and I would not have been able to do it without the support of my family, lots of perseverance, and hard work. It sounds fantastic to be “your own boss,” but let me tell you— it comes with a lot of responsibility. Throughout my journey, I’ve learned some valuable lessons…
Always Continue Growing and Learning
Actually, one does not come without the other. For over 5 years (yes, since before I became "official"), I have not stopped reading, listening to podcasts, networking, researching new products, or improving my offerings and my processes. I keep learning so that I can grow as a designer and offer the best service to my clients.
Immerse Yourself in Your Community
Having peers who have been servicing clients longer than I have, or who offer different design services has been a blessing. I have found such a wonderful community of extremely smart, giving people. I truly feel blessed.
I also started working with a business coach because, let's face it, I loved making spaces beautiful, but I needed to know how to do it in a way that allowed me to stay in business. Having someone with experience to bounce ideas off of was one of the best choices I have made.
Uncover Your Passion and Be the Best You Can Be
I think I started my business to be of service. With my Master's degree in Psychology, it has always been important to me to address others' needs and to help them feel better. I have realized along the way that even though I would like to help everyone, I can best help my clients when I perfect my craft and offer them the very best service possible.
I have found that my passion lies in getting to know my clients and giving them the best experience. I love offering them the opportunity to have a home that is uniquely theirs and speaks of their history, their goals, and their dreams.
I also love turning short-term rentals into spaces that provide an unforgettable getaway for guests, and as a result, provide a wonderful source of revenue for the owners.
A Look towards the Future
In the coming year, I hope to keep growing as a professional and as a person. I will keep applying the knowledge that I have already acquired, and I will keep on learning— that will always be part of who I am. I also plan to keep striving for a great work-life balance because my family will always be a priority to me.
I hope to offer the best possible service for every one of my clients and help them achieve their goals. It does not get any better than that. Let's Peace It Together!
